Nehme Lab

The Nehme lab, located at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT in Cambridge, MA, aspires to identify the cellular phenotypes linked to human genetic variants associated with neuropsychiatric disorders.   

To do this, we are using human cellular models, such as human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) to translate genetic information into biological insights.  We have created approaches to derive different cell types from hPSCs, established assays that can be used to accurately report on the functionality of these cell types, and assembled a cellular and genetic resource of hundreds of hPSCs for studying genetic effects on biology.
